We run a global newsletter and live learning event series for product managers. The newsletter, called Street Smart Product Manager, publishes twice a week to a committed audience, and is enjoying rapid growth. Our live events, called Street Smart Product Manager Live!, consistently attract a high attendance, feature global product management voices, and include active audience engagement and discussion.

Now, we’re ready to monetize through sponsorships. We’re looking for a Sponsorships Manager to help us build and grow this business line from the ground up.

About the Role

As Sponsorships Manager, you’ll shape our sponsorship offering, bring in new sponsors, and manage sponsor relationships. This is a highly entrepreneurial, part-time role with a strong upside. You’ll collaborate directly with the founder and own the sponsorship pipeline, sales, and client management end-to-end.

This is not a “plug-and-play” corporate role. It’s a scrappy, founder-led environment where we’re building the playbook together. If you thrive in that kind of space, you’ll enjoy creativity, impact, and meaningful upside.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop sponsorship packages, pricing, and positioning in line with our brand (with founder approval).

  • Create the sponsor media kit and client experience.

  • Build and manage a pipeline of sponsor leads.

  • Own outreach, pitching, and closing (with founder sign-off).

  • Manage sponsor onboarding, creative assets, and ad placements.

  • Ensure sponsor deliverables are executed on time.

  • Handle client follow-ups and pursue renewals.

  • Continue to shape pricing and packaging based on market response.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sponsorship sales and partnerships, particularly in newsletters, events, or media.
  • Experience creating media kits/sponsor decks.
  • Strong communication skills (email, verbal, live pitch).
  • Strong relationship builder, able to manage client needs and renewals.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable with variable comp.
  • Existing network in SaaS, product management, or related tools/communities is a bonus.

The compensation will be largely or wholly commission based during an initial period, after which it may evolve based on hitting milestones, the growth of the business you bring in, and the working relationship with the founder. Final comp will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications and the company’s compensation structure.
